https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/07257fb3-af31-489a-87fd-dbd4ebc91675 تقدّم وزير الإعلام جورج قرداحي، اليوم الجمعة، باستقالته في مؤتمر صحفيّ عقده في وزارة الإعلام، رابطاً بين تخلّيه عن منصبه والفرصة التي قد تتيحها للبنان المحادثات الفرنسيّة - الخليجيّة. وكانت تقارير صحفيّة قد تحدّثت عن اتّصالات فرنسيّة بحزب الله وتيّار المردة للضغط على قرداحي للاستقالة قبيل الزيارة التي يبدأها الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون اليوم إلى قطر والإمارات والسعوديّة، والتي سيبحث خلالها الملفّ اللبناني. تعود قضية قرداحي إلى الخامس والعشرين من تشرين الأوّل الفائت حين تسبّب بأزمة دبلوماسيّة مع دول الخليج بعد عرض مقابلة له ضمن برنامج «برلمان شعب» اتّهم فيها السعوديّة والإمارات بالاعتداء على اليمن. الجدير بالذكر أنّ قرداحي خلال ولايته القصيرة في وزارة الإعلام، أثار الكثير من الغبار. فقد دعا الإعلام للامتناع عن بثّ الأخبار التي رأى فيها إساءةً للبلد، ولوّح بقانون جديد للإعلام يحفظ كرامات السياسيّين، إضافةً إلى ترحيبه بانقلاب عسكريّ في لبنان. Information Minister Georges Kordahi submitted his resignation today during a press conference held at the Ministry, and considered that giving up his position would contribute to the opportunities that the French-Gulf meetings might offer Lebanon. Press reports have cited calls between French contacts and both Hezbollah and the Marada Movement to pressure Kordahi into resigning, before French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The visit is scheduled to take place today during which Macron will discuss Lebanon. Kordahi’s case dates back to October 25 when he caused a diplomatic crisis with the Gulf, following the circulation of his interview on the “People’s Parliament” where he accused Saudi Arabia and the UAE of attacking Yemen. During his short term at the Information Ministry, Kordahi caused many controversies. He called on the media to refrain from broadcasting news that he deemed insulting to the country, and hinted at a new media law that preserves the dignity of politicians, in addition to welcoming a military coup in Lebanon.
