The administration of the Antonine International School (AIS) in Dekwaneh called the army to disperse parents of students protesting against the tuition fee increase. The parents had come to the school asking to meet with the administrators. The AIS administration had suddenly approved a LBP 550,000 monthly increase to each student’s tuition fee for nine months, according to journalist Ilda Ghoussain, claiming that the new fees served to pay for the increase in teachers’ wages.
