https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/0ddc6695-2912-48ec-ac04-ad0abc77ad5f واجه أحد طلّاب الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت، أمس الجمعة، رئيس الحكومة نجيب ميقاتي أثناء ممارسته رياضة المشي داخل حرم الجامعة برفقة عددٍ من حرّاسه. وفي حديثٍ مع ميغافون، صرّح الطالب جاد هاني أنَّ أحد مرافقي ميقاتي شتمه واستهزأ بمظهره الخارجي. وواجه هاني ميقاتي بخصوص الإهانة التي تعرّض إليها، مؤكّداً تبليغ إدارة الجامعة بإهانة مرافقه له، إلّا أنَّ ميقاتي لم يكترث للأمر قائلاً، «الصفوف الموجودين من ورا إجرينا». وعند سؤاله عن سبب وجود ميقاتي داخل حرم الجامعة، برّر أمن الجامعة ذلك بأنَّ ميقاتي يشغل منصب عضو في مجلس أمناء الجامعة، ليعود ويقول اليوم أنّه خرّيج الجامعة، كونه ليس عضواً في المجلس. وشوهد ميقاتي مجدداً اليوم داخل الجامعة ولكن برفقة رئيس الوزراء السابق فؤاد السنيورة الذي كان قد طُرد من الجامعة في 15 كانون الأوّل 2019 أثناء حضوره حفلاً موسيقياً. A student at the American University of Beirut confronted PM Najib Mikati while he was walking on campus with some bodyguards on Friday. The student, Jad Hani, told Megaphone that one of Mikati’s bodyguards insulted him, mocking his outward appearance. Hani then confronted Mikati about the incident, and told him he would relay it to the AUB administration, but the PM brushed him off, saying “You have us to thank for your classes here.” Security guards justified Mikati’s presence on campus to Hani, by claiming that he is a member of the university’s board of trustees, only to contradict that statement today and say he is simply an alumni.
