Al-Sharaa loyalists attack and humiliate singer in Aleppo An armed group attacked Syrian folk singer Omar Khairi in al-Bab, rural Aleppo, on Thursday evening. They accused him of being pro-Assad regime and of having previously sung for the ousted president. The group humiliated the singer in the street, tied him to a pole, shaved his head and had onlookers draw on his face and body. Although some of the attackers tried to hide their faces, they repeatedly declared their loyalty to the current President, Ahmed al-Sharaa, throughout the video. They even forced Khairi to sing praises to al-Sharaa. Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the group is affiliated with the Syrian National Army.
