Environmental activists are mobilizing to protest this ecological crime, while engineer Farid Abi Younes filed a complaint with the Ministry of Environment this morning demanding an immediate halt to the illegal work. In December 2024, Judge #GhadaAoun issued an order to stop construction at the site, citing reckless methods that ignore the area’s ecological sensitivity and the absence of an environmental impact assessment.
