The presidential palace assaults LU professors | القصر الجمهوري يعتدي على أساتذة الجامعة اللبنانيّة https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/1643daf1-2efe-4313-8eff-05d373625f40 طالبت رابطة الأساتذة المتفرغين في الجامعة اللبنانية القصرَ الجمهوري بفتح تحقيق وتقديم اعتذارٍ رسميّ عن اعتداء قوى مكافحة الشغب والجيش على أساتذة الجامعة والعاملين فيها، أمس الأربعاء، خلال اعتصامٍ سلميٍّ نظّمته الرابطة على مفرق القصر الجمهوري في بعبدا. تزامن الاعتصام مع جلسة مجلس الوزراء، وجاء كخطوةٍ أولى ضمن مخطّطٍ تصعيديٍّ لحلّ أزمة الجامعة اللبنانية الوجودية، وللمطالبة بإقرار ملف التفرّغ ورفع موازنة الجامعة التي صارت تُساوي اليوم قُرابة 15 مليون دولار فقط. تجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ ملف التفرّغ موجود في عهدة الأمانة العامة لمجلس الوزراء منذ أسابيع، لكنّه لم يُدرَج على جدول أعمال أي من الجلسات الوزارية حتّى اليوم، وذلك بسبب ربط كل ملفّات الجامعة اللبنانية بملف تعيين العمداء العالق بين أحزاب السلطة بسبب خلافاتٍ على الحصص. The Association of Full-time Professors at the Lebanese University called on the Presidential Palace to present an official apology and open an investigation into the assault of the army and riot police on university professors and employees, on Wednesday, during a peaceful sit-in they organized at the Presidential Palace junction in Baabda. The sit-in coincided with the ministerial session and represented the first step in an escalation plan to resolve the Lebanese University crisis. The association's demands include approving the dossier of full-time positions and raising the university’s budget, which is now worth approximately $15 million only. The full-time positions dossier has been in the hands of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers for weeks, but it has not been included in the agenda of any ministerial sessions so far.
