A year and a half since port crime | عامٌ ونصف على جريمة المرفأ: لا إعمار قبل الحقيقة https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/168df225-21a3-4b31-99f5-905e3ee64d30 في ذكرى مرور عام ونصف على جريمة المرفأ، تجمّع أهالي ضحايا انفجار مرفأ بيروت أمام تمثال المغترب، مستنكرين تهافت وزراء على المرفأ للحديث عن إعادة إعماره قبل جلاء الحقيقة. واستغرب الأهالي إعلان بعض المتّهمين بانفجار المرفأ نيّتهم الترشّح للانتخابات النيابية المقبلة، معتبرين أنّ مكانهم السجن وليسَ أيّ موقع نيابيٌ. كما أكّد الأهالي حيادهم تجاه سائر المرشّحين، رافضين استغلال قضيتهم لإستجداء عواطف الناخبين. كما دعا الأهالي إلى تحرّك أمام قصر العدل في بيروت لِحَثّ القضاء على الإسراع ببتّ طلبات الردّ، وذلك الإثنين المُقبِل عند الرابعة عصراً. On the one-and-a-half-year commemoration of the crime, the port explosion victims' families gathered in front of the Emigrant statue to denounce ministers' rush to discuss the port reconstruction before the truth is revealed. The families noted their surprise that some people charged in the port explosion case have announced their intention to run in the upcoming parliamentary elections, saying that they belong in prison, not in Parliament. The families also affirmed their neutrality towards other candidates, refusing to lend their cause to sway voters' feelings. The families also urged people to join their stand action at the Palace of Justice in Beirut next Monday at 4 PM, to urge the judiciary to expedite the ruling on requests for recusal.
