His latest performance took place during today's third session to elect a president, when he requested six recounts of the number of MPs present for the second round, until quorum was lost. The actual number of MPs present in the hall before the session was adjourned remains unknown, as the numbers mentioned varied among MPs and parliament employees during the live transmission, ranging between 78 and 87 deputies, before Berri asked to read and ratify the minutes of the session. Berri adopts an inaccurate interpretation of the constitution which sets the quorum for a presidential election session at 86 deputies.
