Dutch foreign minister resigns in protest of Israel’s policies Caspar Veldkamp, the Dutch foreign minister, submitted his resignation from the caretaker government in protest of the refusal to impose new measures against Israel amid the ongoing war in #Gaza and the project to Judaize the #WestBank. Following Veldkamp’s resignation, eight other ministers from the New Social Contract party stepped down as well. In the past week, Veldkamp had called for doubling the pressure on Israel. On Thursday, the Netherlands, together with 20 other countries, issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s E1 settlement project in the West Bank as a violation of international law.
