Athlete Elnaz Rekabi rebels against mandatory hijab | الرياضية الناز ركابي تتمرّد على الحجاب القسريّ https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/2e4e181c-046d-4093-87e8-38c451c6c6cc لم ترتدِ الرياضيّة الإيرانيّة الناز ركابي حجاباً، أمس الأحد، أثناء مشاركتها في نهائيّات بطولة التسلّق الآسيويّة في مدينة سيول، كممثلةٍ عن إيران، حاصدةً المرتبة الرابعة في المنافسة. وكانت ركابي قد شاركت في المنافسة ذاتها العام الفائت، حين التزمت بالحجاب القسريّ، الأمر الذي رفضته هذه المرّة تزامناً مع الانتفاضة الإيرانيّة التي اندلعت في 16 أيلول، احتجاجاً على مقتل الشابة الكرديّة جينا (مهسا) أميني على يد «شرطة الأخلاق» بسبب ارتدائها الحجاب بشكلٍ «غير لائق». تجدر الإشارة إلى أنَّ النظام الإيراني يمنع النساء من المشاركة في البطولات الرياضيّة من دون حجاب، حتّى تلك التي تُعقد خارج البلاد، وذلك منذ إقرار الحجاب القسريّ في 1979.  - - - - - - - - - - Iranian sports climber Elnaz Rekabi did not wear a veil in the Asian climbing competition finals in Seoul on Sunday, where she ranked fourth. Rekabi had participated in the same competition last year, where she wore the hijab. She refused to do so this time amid the Iranian uprising which erupted on September 16, in protest against the murder of young Kurdish woman Jina (Mahsa) Amini by the “morality police” for “innapropriately” wearing her veil.
