Russia defiantly announced to the world these sham results of the referendum to annex the four Ukrainian areas to the Russian Federation. While Moscow celebrated these results and raised its flag in these areas, Ukrainian forces continued to advance in areas close to Kharkiv, recapturing new towns and removing Russian flags from them.
