Jenin resists: Bullets in the face of house demolitions | جنين تقاوم: الرصاص مقابل هدم المنازل https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/367c3e17-982a-4b96-b07d-06185295d958 استقبل أهالي جنين قوّات الاحتلال بالرصاص الحَي، فجر اليوم الإثنين، في محاولةٍ لمنعهم من اقتحام البلدة وهدم منزل الأسير محمود جرادات. وكانت التعزيزات العسكرية قد استُقدِمَت لتفجير المنزل، بعدما انهار سقفه على الجنود الإسرائيليّين خلال عمليّة الهدم، ما تسبّب بإصابة اثتين منهم. واستمرّت الاشتباكات المسلّحة حتّى مغادرة قوّات الاحتلال البلدة، واستشهد خلالها الشاب محمد أبو صالح وأُصيبَ عشرون آخرون. كما اندلعت عدّة مواجهات في الضفّة إثر انتشار الخبر، في طول كرم والبيرة ونابلس. وكان قرار هدم منزل جرادات وأسيرَيْن آخرَين قد اتُّخذ في كانون الأوّل الفائت، بعد اتّهامهم بتنفيذ عملية إطلاق نار قرب إحدى المستوطنات. Jenin residents welcome occupation forces with live bullets at dawn on Monday, in an attempt to prevent them from raiding the town and destroying the home of prisoner Mahmoud Jaradat. Military reinforcements were brought in to blow up the house, after its roof collapsed on Israeli soldiers during the demolition process, injuring two of them. Armed clashes continued until the occupation forces left the town, and they resulted in the martyrdom of the young Mohamad Abou Saleh, as well as twenty injured. Several clashes erupted in the West Bank as the news spread, in Tulkarm, Al-Bireh and Nablus. The decision to destroy Jaradat’s home, along with the homes of two other prisoners, was issued last December after they were accused of carrying out a shooting near one of the settlements.
