Al Jar Lil Jar to re-enliven Ras Beirut with music | الجار للجار تُعيد إحياء رأس بيروت بالموسيقى https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/4193a27c-1da8-4d6f-a37d-99fe7dbd764c سلسلة من العروض الموسيقيّة في مسرح المدينة، وشاشة على الرصيف كي يتمكّن المارّة في شارع الحمرا من «الاستمتاع بالموسيقى والغناء». هكذا تحاول فعاليات «الجار للجار» إعادة إحياء رأس بيروت في موسم الأعياد، رغم كلّ شيء. انطلقت الفعّالية مع مسيرةٍ للميلاد وعروضٍ موسيقيّة في شارع الحمرا، تخلّلها أداءٌ موسيقي لعاملاتٍ أجنبيات، وصولاً إلى عرضٍ لفرقة «برنامج زكي ناصيف للموسيقى العربية» في مسرح المدينة. تستمرّ الأمسيات الموسيقية ضمن فعّالية «الجار للجار» حتّى 29 كانون الأوّل. تقدّم العرض المقبل في 20 كانون الأوّل فرقة «رند»، وتختتم المبادرة عروضها مع كورال الفيحاء. يذكَر أنّ «الجار للجار» هي من تنظيم مبادرة «حسن الجوار» في الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت ومسرح المدينة. A series of concerts at Masrah Al Madina, and a screen on the sidewalk so that passersby on Hamra street can enjoy the music –– this is how the Al Jar Lil Jar program is attempting to revive Ras Beirut neighborhoods during the holidays, despite everything. The event kicked off on December 11 with a Christmas parade and concerts on Hamra street, including performances by migrant workers, and an opening performance by the AUB Zaki Nassif Ensemble for Arabic Music at Masrah Al Madina. The next performance will be by Lebanese band Rand on December 20, and the Fayha choir will close the festival on December 29.
