Part-time professors at the Lebanese University staged a sit-in in front of the Government Serail and the Ministry of Education to demand that the government approve the dossier of full-time positions. Part-time professors have refrained from teaching since the start of the academic year, but a number of professors broke the strike when the university threatened to give their hours away to full-time professors. Part-time professors make up approximately two-thirds of the faculty at the Lebanese University.
