https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/53575313-fafa-4b8d-ae95-a8039ad85d75 ختمت دمية «أمل الصغيرة» محطّتها في مؤتمر القمّة المناخية في غلاسكو- اسكتلندا، أمس الخميس، بعد 3 أيّام أمضتها هناك لمناصرة قضية «اللاجئين المناخيّين». أمل، دمية الثلاثة أمتار ونصف، التي تمثّل لاجئةً سوريّةً غادرت بلادها بسبب الحرب، حضرت القمّة كواحدة من آلاف لاجئي المناخ اليوم، «للتدليل على تقاطع المسألة المناخية وحركة المناخ مع عدالة المهاجرين»، كما شرحت تريسي سيوارد، إحدى منتجات المشروع. تختم أمل اليوم رحلتها التي انطلقت من الحدود السوريّة- التركيّة في تمّوز الفائت، بمسيرٍ بلغ طوله 8,000 كم عبر عدّة بلدان أوروبية، أضاءت فيها أمل على قضيّة اللاجئين السوريّين، لا سيّما الأطفال منهم. يُذكَر أنّ البنك الدولي يقدّر أنّ عدد اللاجئين المناخيّين سيبلغ 216 مليون شخص العام 2050، موزَّعين على ستّ مناطق في العالم، سيدفع التغيّر المناخي قاطنيها إلى تغيير مساكنهم للعيش في مناطق أخرى. Little Amal, a 3.5-meter-tall puppet, ended her stay at the climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, after 3 days spent advocating the cause of climate refugees. Little Amal, representing a Syrian refugee who has left her country because of the war, attended the summit as one of thousands of climate refugees today “to talk about the intersection of climate, the climate movement and migrant justice,” explained Tracy Seward, one of the project’s producers. Little Amal is concluding her journey, which began at the Syrian-Turkish border last July, an 8,000 km-long journey through several European countries, in which Amal shone a spotlight on Syrian refugees, particularly the children among them. The World Bank estimates that the number of climate refugees will reach 216 million people in 2050, distributed over six regions of the world. Climate change will force the residents of these areas to leave their homes to live elsewhere.
