https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/543a6bd1-a75d-4d65-9959-2aa58da76550 بدأ فوج الإطفاء، اليوم الخميس، عملية إخماد وتبريد النيران المشتعلة داخل مبنى الأهراءات، والتي تستمر لمدّة أربعة أو خمسة أيّام، بعد أكثر من 40 يوماً على اندلاعها وبعد مساهمتها بإسقاط الجزء الشمالي من المبنى. وصباح اليوم الخميس، استكمل أهالي الضحايا والمتضامنون معهم تحرّك أمس المعنوَن «وقّعتوهم بس نحنا صامدين»، للضغط من أجل معالجة الحريق، مهدّدين بإقفال الطريق. وذلك بعدما سئموا من تلقّي الوعود الكاذبة، «من توقيف التحقيق إلى المساهمة بانهيار الأهراءات». وكان وزير البيئة ناصر ياسين قد أعلن، أمس الأربعاء، عن خطّة التدخّل في موقع أهراءات المرفأ، وفيها 4 خطوات: تحديد معايير السلامة العامة، ثم تبريد الموقع، ثم رفع الركام ومعالجة المتساقطات الكبيرة بعيداً عن الموقع وبطريقة سليمة بيئياً، وصولاً إلى معالجة الحبوب المتبقّية داخل الصوامع الجنوبية.
