Inside the venue, two protesters tried to storm the stage, as the audience waved several Palestinian flags in protest against Israeli participation, along with banners denouncing genocide, reading “No music for murder” and “Singing while Gaza burns.” In recent weeks, the official broadcasters in Spain, Slovenia and Iceland had objected to Israel participating due to its continued aggression on the Gaza Strip. Israel was represented by a “survivor of the October 7 attack” who performed a song titled "New Day Will Rise." Israel finished in second place, while Austria claimed first.
