Supporters of the Shiite Duo managed to cancel the Dentists Syndicate elections on Sunday, by smashing ballot boxes and scattering votes on the ground when results came out contrary to their liking. Ronald Younes, the Al-Naqaba Tantafid candidate, was in the lead with the Shiite Duo candidate in third place, when a problem was provoked during the sorting at the fourth ballot station. Internal Security Forces were unable to protect the ballot boxes and stood back watching supporters of the Shiite Duo conduct their thuggery. Among the dentists involved were Mahdi Ayoub who was seen throwing two ballot boxes to the floor, as well as Ali Hajj Hassan, Mohammed Srour and Hasan Kassir.
