https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/67a2c2ba-9c9d-44da-aa24-022f1349ceb6 خرج أهالي إدلب السوريّة، اليوم الأربعاء، إلى مدرّج المشتل في المدينة لإحياء الذكرى الثالثة لمقتل عبد الباسط الساروت. توفّي الساروت في 8 حزيران 2019 متأثراً بجراحه بعد إصابته برصاص قوّات الأسد في ريف حماة الشمالي. وقبل الانضمام إلى معارك ريف حماة، دافع الساروت عن حمص المحاصرة في 2012 بعدما شنّت قوّات الأسد حرباً على الأحياء الثائرة. لُقّب الساروت بـ«حارس الثورة»، حيث كان حارساً لمرمى نادي الكرامة قبل اندلاع الثورة السوريّة، ثمّ اشتهر بأغانيه وهتافاته وشعاراته خلال المظاهرات، ما جعله هدفاً لأجهزة النظام الأمنيّة. بقي الساروت أحد أيقونات الثورة رغم السجالات التي طالت جوانب من مسيرته السياسية وشيطنته من قبل وسائل الإعلام الأسديّة. دُفن الساروت بحسب وصيّته في مدينة إدلب التي لا تزال تحيي ذكراه ومسيرته حتّى الآن. Before joining the Hama battle, Al-Sarout had also defended Homs during the siege of 2012, after the Assad regime led a brutal offensive against rebels. Al-Sarout was nicknamed the “revolution’s keeper” in reference to his position as goalkeeper in the Karama club before the Syrian revolution. He then became known for his chants and cheers during protests, which also drew the attention of Assad’s security apparatus. Al-Sarout remains an icon of the revolution, despite controversies surrounding his political activities and smear campaigns launched by Assadist media outlets.
