Medical students boycott exams and expose dean | طلاب الطبّ يقاطعون الامتحانات ويفضحون العميد https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/6beebe20-724e-46ac-a44d-cc6cbac6855c «عسكرة الجامعة ستواجَه بالتصعيد والعصيان الطلابي»، هذا ما أكّده طلاب الجامعة اللبنانية في بيانهم، قبل أن يقاطعوا امتحانات السنة الرابعة والخامسة في كلية الطب، اليوم الاثنين، تضامناً مع الطالب هادي شمّاع الذي مُنع من دخول قاعة الامتحانات. وكانت الإدارة قد اتّخذت «قراراً تأديبياً» بحقّ شمّاع على خلفية منشورٍ له كشف فيه قيام عميد الكلية باستغلال أبحاث طلابه ونشرها لاحقاً باسمه الشخصي. وقد انتقد تكتّل طلاب الجامعة اللبنانية أداء المجلس التأديبي، مشيراً إلى أنّه أصبح «أداةً تخدم مصالح وكيديات وغرور من هم في موقع السلطة»، لا سيّما بعدما استدعى ثلاثة طلاب آخرين على خلفية انتقادهم أجور الطلاب المتدرّبين وسوء تنظيم الجامعة لأمورهم. “The militarization of the university will be met with escalation and student disobedience.” This is what students at the Lebanese University said in a statement issued on Sunday, before boycotting fourth and fifth-year Medical School exams on Monday in solidarity with Hadi Shammah, a student who was banned from entering the exam hall. The administration took a “disciplinary decision” against Shammah, for publishing a post that revealed the dean exploiting his students’ research and posting them later under his own name.
