https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/6f9f2577-fd71-4c83-98fc-4e0f4e9d4ea1 قدّم رئيس القوّات اللبنانية سمير جعجع روايته عن أحداث الخميس، بعدما اعتبرها الثنائي الشيعي كميناً حضّرت له القوّات اللبنانية عن سابق تصوّر وتصميم. وقد رأى جعجع، في برنامج «بدنا الحقيقة» أمس الجمعة، أنّ أحداث الطيّونة لا علاقة لها بالتجمّع الذي بدأ عند قصر العدل صباح الخميس، بل بدأت بعدما عمد عدد من المحتجّين تجاوز نقاط تجمّع الجيش والدخول إلى منطقة عين الرمانة. جعجع الذي وافق مضيفه بأنّ ما حصل هو «7 أيّار» جديد بحقّ المسيحيّين، أدرج إطلاق النار من جهة عين الرمانة في خانة الدفاع عن النفس ضدّ الجموع التي كسّرت مداخل المباني السكنية واعتدت على 4 أشخاص تواجدوا هناك، وهو «دفاع» لم يقم به القوّاتيّون، بل «كلّ أهالي عين الرمّانة». جعجع الذي بدا مستقوياً بأحداث الطيونة، قدّم نفسه كالخصم الوحيد القادر على الوقوف في وجه حزب الله، لكنّه لم يقدّم رؤيةً للمواجهة إلا المزيد من العنف الطائفي. Samir Geagea offered his version of the events that unfolded Thursday to counter the Shi’ite Duo’s assertion that the Lebanese Forces had orchestrated a premeditated ambush against their protesters. Speaking to the “Badna Al Hakika” TV show on Friday, the head of the Lebanese Forces claimed that the Tayyoune clashes had nothing to do with the protest at the Justice Palace that morning. He said it started when protesters crossed the demonstration area demarcated by the army and entered the Ain el Remmaneh region. Geagea agreed with the host of the show that what happened was a new “May 7” incident against Christians, and claimed that the shots fired from Ain El Remmaneh were in self defence against groups that had broken the entrances of residential buildings and attacked four people who were at the scene. “The defense” he says, was not carried out by members of the Lebanese Forces party, but by “all the residents of Ain El Remmaneh.” Geagea appeared emboldened by the Tayyouneh clashes, presenting himself as the only opponent capable of confronting Hezbollah. All Geagea had to offer in that confrontation, however, was more of the same sectarian violence.
