https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/734d4f46-e243-4f36-a30f-32a8f454c9f1 استضاف الإعلامي مارسيل غانم، أمس الخميس، حاكم مصرف لبنان رياض سلامة ليشرح للمواطنين عن التدقيق المالي الذاتي في حساباته، الذي نشره الأربعاء الفائت لصدّ الباب على «الحملات المنظّمة والممنهجة والمستمرّة التي تهدف إلى النَيل من كرامتي». وقد علك سلامة نظريّته التي تحصر الانهيار الحالي بوقف سداد اليوروبوندز والأزمات السياسيّة، محيّداً أي مسؤولية لسياساته المالية في التسبّب في الانهيار. أمّا شركة «سمعان غلام» التي استعان بها سلامة، فهي شركة التدقيق نفسها التي استعانت بها غالبيّة المصارف اللبنانيّة ما قبل الانهيار، والتي امتلأت تقاريرها بالتلاعب لإخفاء الخسائر التي كانت تتراكم بين عامَي 2011 و2019. اللافت أنّ حلقة أمس تزامنت مع ​تأكيدٍ من السلطات القضائية في ليختنشتاين حول وجود «تحقيق معلّق [بحقّ سلامة] بشأن غسل الأموال»، وبشأن إحدى الشركات المرتبطة به في باناما والتي نُقلَت إلى ليختنشتاين عام 2018. وإن استُكملَ التحقيق بالفعل، تكون ليختنشتاين رابع بلد أوروبي يفتح ملفّاً جرمياً بحقّ سلامة، بعد سويسرا وفرنسا ولوكسمبورغ. On Thursday, journalist Marcel Ghanem hosted the BDL Governor Riad Salameh who explained to citizens the financial audit he conducted into his own accounts, and which he published last Wednesday to shut the door on the “organised, systematic and continuous campaigns aimed at undermining my dignity.” Salameh reiterated his theory, which blames the current collapse on unmet Eurobonds payments and political crises and absolves his financial policies from any responsibility in the collapse. The Semaan Gholam company that Salameh resorted to is the same auditing firm that most Lebanese banks went to before the collapse, and whose reports were manipulated to hide the losses accumulated between 2011 and 2019. Yesterday’s episode coincided with the confirmation of Liechtenstein's judicial authorities that they have a “pending money laundering investigation” in relation to the BDL governor. They are also investigating a Panama-registered company tied to Salameh that was moved to Liechtenstein in 2018. If the investigation goes through, Liechtenstein becomes the fourth country to look into Salameh's finances after Switzerland, France, and Luxembourg.
