Mikati is appointed and Tripoli protests | ميقاتي يُكَلَّف وطرابلس تحتجّ https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/79f83e0c-d981-4f5a-ad6d-dde94bf4c4ef اعتصم أهالي طرابلس في شوارع مدينتهم، أمس الإثنين، احتجاجاً على التقنين الكهربائي المستمر، وانقطاع مادة المازوت عن المولّدات الخاصة، إلى جانب الظروف المعيشية الرديئة أصلاً. وقد قطعوا كلاً من طريق دوار أبو علي والبداوي والجسرَين. أتى ذلك بعد ساعاتٍ من تكليف نائب طرابلس نجيب ميقاتي لتشكيل الحكومة المقبلة، الخبر الذي لم يتلقّفه أبناء طرابلس بالترحيب، لا سيّما بعد تكرار اعتداءات مرافقي ميقاتي على المتظاهرين في أوقاتٍ سابقة. Residents of Tripoli took to their city’s streets on Monday, in protest against the ongoing electricity rationing and the private generator fuel shortage, in addition to the already poor living conditions. Protesters blocked the Abou Ali roundabout road, as well as the Beddaoui and Jisrein roads. This was hours after Tripoli MP Najib Mikati was appointed to form the next government.
