A number of activists demonstrated in front of the Monnot Theater, in protest of the theater hosting professor and theater director Michel Jabre to give workshops for theater students, despite his long history of sexually harassing his female students. Activists hung photos of Jabre in front of the theater with “harasser” written at the bottom, then confronted Jabre by chanting “Michel Jabre is a harasser” and “We believe survivors.” Several students previously exposed Jabre’s sexual harrassment on social media, publishing 48 testimonies of his crimes against students at the Saint-Joseph University and the Lebanese University, but all complaints against him have been ignored.
