Protesters seal Judge Mezher’s office with red wax | محتجّات يختمنَ مكتب القاضي مزهر بالشمع الأحمر https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/8dec1b27-8c00-45e9-927b-74ea873be7eb برافو، برافو. طبعاً، طبعاً… لم يجد القاضي حبيب مزهر غير ترداد هذه الكلمات، بنبرته التهكّمية، للإجابة على احتجاج عددٍ من النساء اللواتي قصدن مكتبه في قصر العدل، صباح اليوم الثلاثاء، وختمنَهُ رمزيّاً بالشمع الأحمر. وقد علّقت المجموعة شعاراتٍ مندّدة بسلوك مزهر الذي تجاوز صلاحياته وسطا على ملفّ طلب ردّ القاضي طارق بيطار، ولاحقته المحتجّات في أروقة القصر مطالبةً إياه بتحكيم ضميره، قبل أن يغلق على نفسه بابَ مكتبٍ آخر. “Bravo, bravo, of course, of course…” Judge Habib Mezher could only repeat these words sarcastically, after several women symbolically sealed his office in the Justice Palace with red wax on Tuesday morning. The protesters also hung papers with slogans denouncing Mezher’s actions, as he had overstepped his powers and seized the case of Judge Bitar’s removal request, then chased him around the palace corridors and demanded that he follow his conscience, before he locked himself in another office.
