This was the promise of the families of the port explosion victims, which they’ve renewed on the fourth day of every month since August 2020. For two years, the families have held on to their demand for justice, despite pressure, intimidation, violence, threats, and arrests. Two years of street protests, two years of anger, two years of defending memory and justice. Two years, 24 months, 24 commemorations of August 4, and still the families remain committed to justice.
