The report challenges the BBC’s framing of the conflict, citing practices such as overrepresenting Israelis as victims while avoiding the same terminology for Palestinian civilians; presenting Palestinian casualty figures in a way that invites doubt; applying a double standard compared to its coverage of the war in #Ukraine; and even omitting genocidal statements by Israeli officials. The findings were shared with BBC Director of News Content Richard Burgess, in the presence of Palestinian Ambassador to the #UK Husam Zomlot, and a number of veteran British journalists, who confronted Burgess over the network’s conduct.
