On Friday, demonstrators stormed the building of the Ministry of Energy and Water, to protest the continuous electricity cuts and the high cost of subscription to electrical generators due to the increase in the price of diesel. The protesters met with the Energy Minister's advisor, Khaled Nakhleh, who avoided answering their questions. Ministry employees expelled the demonstrators after they destroyed a framed picture of President Michel Aoun.
