https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/c2ddd365-dc29-4d7a-bdf6-6304b6d5fb04 سيطر الدفاع المدني اللبناني وجمعية الرسالة للإسعاف الصحي على الحريق الناتج عن سلسلة انفجاراتٍ وقعت، ليل أمس الجمعة، في حي المدارس في مخيّم برج الشمالي في جنوب لبنان. وأوقعت الانفجارات قُرابة الـ14 جريحاً، من دون إحصاء العدد النهائي للضحايا. وقبل صدور أي تصريح رسميّ حول أسباب الانفجار، تضاربت روايتان حتّى اللحظة. فقد أكّد أهالي المخيّم أنّ حريقاً في خزّان مازوت للمولدات الكهربائية امتدّ إلى المسجد والمركز الصحّي المحاذيَين، حيث وُضّبَت قوارير أوكسيجين للّزوم الطبّي، انفجرت مع تمدّد النيران. بينما نقلت وسائل إعلامية أنّ الانفجار وقع في مخزن أسلحة تابع لحركة حماس التي نفت ذلك. يُذكَر أنّ المخيّم يعاني من اكتظاظ شديد، إذ يضمّ أكثر من 19,500 لاجئ، بحسب تقديرات الأونروا التي صرّحت في غير مرّة أنّ مشاكل المخيّم المُهمَل الأساسية هي البنية التحتية التالفة، إلى جانب البطالة العالية. The Lebanese Civil Defense and Al Resalah ambulance were able to contain the fire resulting from a series of explosions that occured on Friday night, in the Hay el Madares neighborhood of the Burj Shemali camp in South Lebanon. The explosions left about fourteen wounded, with no final count of victims yet. No official statement has been issued to explain the causes of the explosion, with two conflicting accounts so far. Residents of the camp say a fire in a fuel tank for generators spread to the nearby mosque and health center where oxygen bottles –– which were stocked for medical purposes –– exploded, while media outlets reported that the explosion happened in a Hamas weapons depot, which Hamas denied. The camp suffers from severe overcrowding, housing over 19,500 refugees according to estimations by UNRWA, which have stated many times that the neglected camp’s main problem is its damaged infrastructure, as well as high unemployment.
