https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/c3b19266-20b0-4f8e-a7b9-a6372da082b9 جال عدد من الناشطين في عكّار على مكاتب شركة ألفا للاتّصالات، أمس الأوّل، على خلفية الانقطاع المتواصل لخدمات الشركة عن المستخدمين. وقد رشّ المحتجّون شعارات «سيرياتل ترحّب بكم» على حيطان مكاتب ألفا، بعدما تلقّوا رسائل من الشركة «تتمنّى لهم رحلةً سعيدةً في سوريا»، وتعلمهم بأنّ خطوطهم باتت تتبَع خدمة الرومينغ، عبر شركة الاتّصالات السوريّة «سيرياتل». تفرض هذه الخطوة على المستخدمين تكاليف إضافيّة هائلة تصل إلى 16 دولار لكل رسالة نصّية، فضلاً عن انقطاع خدمة الانترنت عنهم، علماً أنّهم داخل الأراضي اللبنانية، ويبعد بعضهم عن الحدود اللبنانية- السورية عشرات الكيلومترات. يُذكر أنّ في المناطق الحدودية مستخدمين يستفيدون من خدمات شركتَي ألفا وتوتش، وآخرين يستفيدون من خدمات سيرياتل، غير أنّ موجات الأخيرة باتت «تفرض نفسها» على كل المستخدمين نظراً لتردّي خدمة الشركتين اللبنانيّتَين في عكّار. Several activists headed to the offices of telecom company Alfa in Akkar on Sunday evening, in protest of its services no longer being available in the area. Protesters sprayed “Welcome to Syriatel” on the building walls, as they had received text messages from Alfa wishing them “a happy trip to Syria,” and informing them that their lines will now be operated by Syrian telecom company Syriatel. This means that users will lose 3G services, and it will cost them up to $16 per text message, although they are still in Lebanese territory, 10km away from the Syrian-Lebanese border. Users usually benefit from the services of Touch and Alfa as well as Syriatel near border areas, but lately the Syrian telecom company’s waves are “taking over,” due to the Lebanese companies’ poor service in Akkar.
