Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid inaugurated the first occupation embassy in the Gulf, in Abu Dhabi, and in the presence of Emirati Culture Minister Noura al-Kaabi. Lapid’s visit today is the first official visit by an Israeli prime minister to the U.A.E., and he used this opportunity to open an Israeli pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai. While Lapid stated, in a comment on his visit, that “Israel chooses peace and cooperation over war and hostility,” the occupation’s bulldozers demolished Palestinians homes in the Silwan neighborhood, in preparation for new settlements.
