Sunday million-person march in Sudan |مليونيّة الأحد: ثلاث سنوات على رحيل دكتاتور السودان https://video.megaphone.news/videos/watch/cc318292-020e-415e-8781-f87ba6258cdd نظّم المتظاهرون السودانيّون «مليونيّة الأحد»، يوم أمس، إحياءً لذكرى السنوية الثالثة لخلع الرئيس عمر البشير. الشعارات نفسها التي رُفعَت عام 2019 ضدّ البشير، حملها متظاهرو أمس ضدّ الانقلاب العسكري الحالي وجيش عبد الفتّاح البرهان، مطالبين بحكمٍ مدنيٍّ ديموقراطيّ. وقد قُتلَ شاب وأُصيبَ أكثر من 125 متظاهراً في محيط القصر الجمهوري، بعدما لجأ العسكر للغاز المسيّل للدموع والرصاص الحَيّ لتفرقة المتظاهرين. وكان البرهان قد سعى إلى تشريع انقلابه على المجلس الانتقالي الحاكم، عبر إطلاق سراح الوزراء الذين اعتقلهم في 23 تشرين الأوّل، مقابل توقيع رئيس الوزراء المُفرَج عنه عبدالله حمدوك على اتّفاقية تشرّع خطوة الجيش الانقلابية. Protesters in Sudan organized a Sunday million-person march yesterday to commemorate the third anniversary of the toppling of President Omar al-Bachir. The same anti-Bachir chants were repeated by demonstrators yesterday, this time against the ongoing military coup and Abdel Fattah al-Burhan’s army, as crowds called for a democratic civil rule. A young man was killed and over 125 people were injured in the area around the presidential palace, with the army using tear gas and live bullets to disperse protesters. Al-Burhan had released the ministers he arrested on October 23, in exchange for the freed Prime Minister Badallah Hamdok signing an agreement that legitimizes the army’s coup.
