MP Mohammad Raad accused the United States of destroying the Lebanese banking system, via Israel, as part of its plan to attack the economy of countries that are not normalizing. In a speech delivered in the town of Sharqiya in the South, Raad said he did not mind the U.S. and Israel demolishing the Lebanese banking system since "it was not created by us, but rather by foreign wills.” Raad, who believes that banking institutions are “incapable of humiliating us,” added that Lebanon is undergoing “a crisis and a state of hardship, pressure and blockade, in which we are denied a decent living,” without mentioning any internal causes of the collapse.
