Russians responded to the partial military mobilization announced by President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, by fleeing from Russia or renewing their demonstrations against the war. According to airline and travel agencies, flights leaving Russia sold out yesterday as ticket prices soared to 300,000 rubles, approximately $5,000. Demonstrations were in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, against the decision to mobilize and the war. The protests were suppressed by the Russian police, who arrested at least 1,311 demonstrators, according to human rights organizations.
