The families of the port explosion victims staged a stand in solidarity with judicial investigator Judge Tarek Bitar, in light of the legitimate doubt lawsuit filed against him and the threats he received from Wafic Safa, head of Hezbollah's liaison and coordination unit. The victims' families appealed to Judge Randa Kfoury, who is looking into the legitimate doubt lawsuit filed by former Minister of Works Youssef Fenianos, and asking her to "judge fairly." The families also addressed the Court of Appeal in Beirut, where former Interior Minister Nohad Machnouk submitted a request to dismiss Judge Bitar from the case.
