On Friday, a part of the apartheid wall collapsed in the town of Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, due to natural factors. Al-Ram historically served as the northern gate to Jerusalem and as a passageway from there to Ramallah. The apartheid wall which surrounded Al-Ram on three sides led to its isolation and to the displacement of a large number of its residents.
