A massive fire has encircled the area of Kobayat in Akkar. The fire which has been raging for several hours is getting nearer to residential houses. People of the area and fire brigades are facing difficulty getting the fire under control. The National News Agency reported the death of a volunteer fireman who was trying to extinguish the flames. Civil defense and army teams are evacuating residents in the vicinity of the fire.
