The Baalbaki Brothers: The Color That Remains After the War Two exhibitions currently on view in Beirut feature the work of artists and brothers Abdel Hamid Baalbaki and Fawzi Baalbaki. In this interview, artist Oussama Baalbaki reflects on his late father's exhibition at the Sursock Museum, titled “Tribute to Abdel Hamid Baalbaki: Ode to the South.” Meanwhile, artists Fawzi Baalbaki and his son Ayman discuss their joint exhibition, “The Escape to Joy,” at the Dalloul Artist Collective. Abdel Hamid Baalbaki’s home in Odaisseh, long considered a museum in its own right, was destroyed during the recent Israeli assault.
