Nisrine Chahine, head of the Contractual Teachers' League in Lebanese Primary Public Schools (CTLP), represented the teachers. She was promised that the relevant ministry, i.e., the Ministry of Finance, would follow up on the matter and assess the size of the bonuses and their impact on the budget. Contractual teachers were denied summer productivity bonuses—a decision they continue to protest regularly. The issue, however, remains shelved within the government.
