Judge Ghassan Khoury received the families of the port explosion victims with machine guns, when one of his escorts assaulted them as they staged a sit-in on Tuesday in front of the judge's house in Zouk. Khoury, who is Judge Ghassan Oueidat's assistant public prosecutor, has also contributed to obstructing the investigation. The families accused the two judges of protecting the accused and of failing to notify security agencies of Judge Tarek Bitar's subpoenas in order for them to take the necessary measures with the defendants.
